Tallow Mineral Sunblock

Our tallow mineral sunblock is dual purpose as it is designed to moisturize your skin AND protect it from the sun. It combines our amazing tallow balm with non-nano zinc oxide, giving you optimal protection without the nasty chemicals found in most sunscreens today. 

Our tallow balm is made from the leaf fat of our own cows, which are born, raised, and finished right here in Calaveras County. Tallow balm is one of the most natural forms of lotion you can find. It's packed with vitamins A, D, E and K, which are perfect for healing and hydrating your skin.

Zinc oxide is a mineral that is commonly used to protect against the sun. It provides coverage against both UVA and UVB rays. Health is always our top priority so this sunblock uses non-nano zinc oxide, rather than nano zinc oxide traditionally found in sunblock today. Non-nano zinc oxide has a larger particle size than nano zinc oxide, which means it stays on top of your skin, rather than penetrating into your skin. As a result of the larger particle size, it may leave a white residue if you apply too much. Start with a SMALL amount and apply more as needed.

Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure. Re-apply within two hours or after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
